Paul and I started Heavy Thunder Down Under  Heavy Horse National Heavy Horse Magazine in 2001.  And the full set is now archived in the National Library in Canberra.  But hasn’t a lot of water passed under the bridge since then…wow! Well then, let me tell you a bit about us. 

Hmmm…Paul is an engineer by profession and he has been around horses all his life.  He has bred, handled and shown Clydesdale’s and other breeds of horses for about 30 years and has won many major awards.  He is also an Internationally recognized Horse Judge.

I have been around horses since I was 8 years old.  I  have competed successfully in three states of Australia with Arabian horses. And my horses have won major awards.   I  have also studied psychology and nursing at University and am a qualified nurse.

We are both published authors.

So…As always, our plan is to publish a blog for all to enjoy.  We will cover many breeds of heavy horses in Australia and Paul and I would love to hear from you.  This is your opportunity to share an experience, an interesting theory or a new idea.  In fact anything you would like to contact us or tell us about, as long as it is apolitical,  you are most welcome to.
